Provence- hiking and cycling: where to go?

Hi. I'm thinking about going to Provence in France for a couple of days, approximately 5. I will be travelling alone and I don't drive. I don't want to go to the larger tourist town. I'd rather stay in a village where I could hike and cycle. I don't swim neither. I would like to hike and cycle but not in too steepy and dangerous places because I'm not an experienced hiker, nor mountain cyclist. I just want to chill out by hiking and cycling in fairly easy settings with nice scenery where I could also sightseeing, some ruins or other stuff, spend some time outdoors. Somewhere I could easily get to a larger city/town once or twice by bus or train during my trip where I could do sightseeing as well. I'm especially looking forward cycling part, because I love it and haven't got time for doing it usually. Any ideas where I could go?

My leg was crushed, Should I be worried?

I Was buckling my infant in her carseat, When a driver pulled up WAY to close right next to me. My car door was wide open and I think she realized her mistake, She started to reverse out of the space and nearly half the time Im screaming and yelling at her to stop because my left leg is crushed between the open car door and the inside of my car as metal to metal scrapes. You might have lyme disease but you only have a 1% to 3% of getting the disease from the tick and on top of that it takes 24-48 hours to transmit the disease. So don't worry about getting the disease and even if you did or do it only takes a few weeks to get back to normal. I have been on pointe for about3-4 months. I have the grishko's 2007 5.5 SS, XXX. My feet look weird in pointe shoes. its like slanted..... when my feet are parallel on the ground. When I go up on pointe my feet don't really look straight.. it looks really awkward. i think the box/ vamp is too small for my feet, it feels really tight. but my fitter said the box will expand after i dance awhile... My fitter at capezio said i have tapered feet and my big toe is the same lenght as my second toe. The thing is that i think my pinky toe is kind of getting squished and i think it sticks out a bit. I bought 2 bettas 4 days ago (not at once) and within 2 days of each other, they died (the first one i bought was in a cup, the second one was in a tank). I'm 20 years old in college and i love hiking. In fact, next spring I will hike the appalachian trail. Now im studing engineering, however, I'm also planning on pursuing a flying career for an airliner. After i become an engineer and make better money i can save for 5 years learn to fly become a flight instructor. build my hours.. Now i plan on saving atleast 50K in 5 years as an engineer. If im lucky i could save up to 100K. I will be living way below my means and probably going to take the bus etc.. anyway, then i want to hike the pacific crest and continetal divide... I'm also a good writer and am going to try to write a book and get it published... Then i want to hike some of the worlds greatest trails. I want to become a mountineer/rock climber/sky diver/surfer/mountain biker/survival expert. i want to be outdoors. after spending maybe 3 years doing all that with the money i have saved up I would like to fly for a regioanl airliner.. then after 10 years of that a major airliner.. where i will retire and have some decent money saved up and then I can just travel the world.

probably saw the Bold Jumping Spider (both spiders)... they are big enough to bite and it would hurt, the worst thing to happen would be it get infected and cause issues....the vast majority of the time when you go to a dr with a nasty looking spot and he states it looks like a spider bite, it is actually the infection around the bite that is the problem, (it very well could of been an infected hair that caused the spot) They hunt other spiders by the way, might be worth keeping around.

What is the best hiking trail in Sedona, AZ?

Heading to Sedona at the end of August. I'm an experienced hiker in the Yosemite and Sequoia Nat'l Park area. Looking for recommendations for the best hiking trails as far as scenery goes. I prefer loop trails of moderate difficulty and length (5-10 miles or so). Some walking time along ridges would be nice too. Going to be there with family so looking for best "bang for the buck" since I probably won't have time for multiple hikes, looking for the best and most I can see in one day's worth of hiking. Do you think dogs should be on leashed in public places?

untrained ones should be ... but if a person has put the time and energy in to train their dog to walk off leash and the dog does not leave the side of the owner, is not concerned about other dogs or animals or people, and is non-aggressive, i don't really care what the rules/laws are, i will be walking my dog off leash ... in the situations you described, those dogs should be leashed ... and why is it in your town leashes are optional but where you hike they are a requirement ??? and to be honest, i have had many more dogs on extendi-leashes charge my off leash, at-my-side dog than off leash dogs ... she will ignore either ...

Bed bugs didn't leave after exterminators came, why?

The exterminators came last Thursday and exterminated my entire apartment. Up until today, Wednesday the 22nd, I haven't had one bed bug bite, nor have I seen one. Today, I just woke up due to a pinch on the left side of my waist. It was a huge bed bug, which I squished. What I'm asking is WHY? Why do I still have bed bugs when the exterminators came. They did say they were going to come a second time just in case, but really, I thought it would be done after one job. What's the probability that they will be gone after the second extermination? Is it possible for them not to leave after the second extermination? I can't just keep calling these guys for the rest of my life.

Older sister is taking over my life?

Why doesn't this girl like me?

What kind of insect was it?

My brother told me there was this huge bug that looked like a cockroach in the garage. My mother dusted it out into the front yard and I came to look at it. It wasn't a cockroach at all, I knew that much, but I didn't know what it was. It had yellowish things sticking out on both sides of it's face. It looked like the "horn" on a rhinocerous beetle except yellow, not as thick, and on both sides of the head. It's legs were the same color as the things sticking out of its face and a bit longer than a beetles. It also had a black shell-like thing on it's back. The shell wasn't smooth though. It had smooth, even, sort of wavy ruffles. The thing was on it's back though so I couldn't see all of it and my father decided to squish the poor thing instead of just leave it outside. Hate myself for being jealous of my cousin's wedding?

Does anyone even do that anymore? I grew up in a rural area, and people did pick up hitch hikers back then...it was a very different time. But after a number of murderer found their victims this way, and a bunch of movies highlighted the dangers of hitch hiking, and picking up hitch hikers, I thought people stopped. I've noticed a number of people thumbing for a ride recently and wondered if they had any luck getting picked up. What type on insect bit me? spider?

I live in flagstaff, AZ. I know there is a pretty big spider population up here, and minimal amounts of any other insect, besides moths, and a few big black ants. Yesterday I noticed a spot on the inside of my left knee was itching mildly, but I didn't think anything of it. It eventually went away, and I never noticed anything through my jeans. But today, I was wearing shorts, and I found myself subconsciously scratching the place again, and when I looked at it, I noticed 3 dark pink dots in the shape of a squished triangle, together no bigger than a nickle. The bumps are barely raised, they are rather puffy from being scratched so much, and one has a bit of a businesslike red streak on it. It hurts to the touch, not like a bruise, but more like a cut. It still itches mildly, but nothing that will drive me crazy. Any idea what this could be? I'm kind of freaking out, cause I have this huge thing about spiders. they freak me out.

So on Saturday there was a party and I was home only my parents were there and they had a bad discussion while they were coming home (my mom told me) and my dad slapped my mom. THEN he came back in and started screaming. Tiny jumping bug in my room?

Hello, so yesterday night I found a tiny ( and I mean TINY) bug that was a white-creme or a white-beige. It was about .2 by .2 of a cm, but possibly smaller. It seemed like just a gnat-like bug without wings. Though, this bug could jump very fast, almost like a flea, but much smaller. Anyways, back to my experience. So I found this bug on my computer desk at around midnight. I tried to squish it, but since it was so jumpy, it was very difficult. I finally smashed it, but it seemed as it had a hard casing around it because when I looked at my piece of paper (that's the only weapon I could find!) it wasn't there and I believed that it just got flung onto my pants or something. I just brushed off my pants and went on with my life. About a half an hour later, I sat on my bed with my cat across from me and I found the bug on my bed. Then, I found about 3 more! I almost thought they we falling from the ceiling, but they could of been falling from my hair, i don't know! So, I went to go tell my mother and ask if I could sleep in her room because there was no way I would sleep there tonight. My mom was fine with it and said that it was probably fleas. I've never seen one or had the experience, so I looked it up, but it wasn't the right bug. It isn't long and was super small. Long Story short; This guy tried talking to me, I denied him. I highly regret it, because afterwards I began to have a super major crush on this guy. I would see him constantly where we would just see eachother and just stare. One day I was in my school book store, he seen me and turned back to talk to me but a clerk ended up tending to me. Hi there! As far as I can tell (from having puppies multiple times) this is completley normal! We had one puppy that would try to get between your back and the couch when you were sitting and tried to get in people's shirts. It just reminds then of when they were young and got to cuddle up to "mother" and the other "kids". A lot of puppies do this and it should go away with time just like ours did! (: As far as suffocating her or pushing her off the bed goes, don't worry about it. If the oxygen to her brain begins to slow she will try to get away and will almost ALWAYS get away in time. (: Pushing her off could hurt her, but she'd be woken up if she would start to be pushed. Hope this helps! ^.^

Okay, so one of my best friends (we can call him D) is really wierd. He's a "popular" kid and everyone in 7th grade likes him. So me and my friend went to a party the other night everything went fine. She got drunk, but nothing new. The next day we go over to my other friends house and smoke a few bowls. Then i finally sat her down cuz she could not walk without passing out. She was in a cold sweat and said she just wanted to sleep but i wouldn't let her afraid she wouldn't wake back up. After a while she was fine and was light headed the rest of the day. So my question is what happened!? Did she get drugged at the party? She does not do any other drugs besides pot and alcohol and she was not dehydrated and had plenty of sleep.

Me and my dad got into a big arguement. I am 14 years old and my dad treats me like a little girl. i feel strangled .......my bestfriend who ive known for 7 years(half my life) lives 3 blocks away. she sleeps over all the time but i cant sleepover there cause she has two older brothers(19 and 20) and that is my fathers "reason" why i cant sleepover there. Then her brothers left off to travel around the country and she lives just with her mom. her dad doesnt live with the family....so she asks me if i can sleepover and i ask my dad and he says no!!! like wtf her brothers arent there anymore...why would he say no. i ask him why and he says "Because i dont feel comfortable" .....i got so pist at him. i have been waiting for 7 years to sleepover. he lets me sleepover other friends houses but not my bestfriend??? he wont let me go to the mall with my friends....he picks me up like an hour early before a party qactually ends. It's me again.! So my friend texted me and keep in mind it's a boy that i'm texting. He's like my best friend, and this Friday was the last day of school (June 9th, 2011). We were in the last class of the day and we were learning about sex and stuff, and there's a board game that we could play. And also he did this with one of my ex-bestfriend. Not the kiss, texting her almost all night. I'm kind of jealous in a way. I have the most feelings for him, and he doesn't text me. And I kind of like him, like more than friends. And my best friend that kissed him, said that it seems like he likes you. And I just blush. And i've been texting him since summer started. He keeps saying he doesn't like anyone, and I think that's a major lie. And I tell him everything, like everything. He's a really a true friend, and he's kind of cute too. lol. Bed bugs didn't leave after exterminators came, why?

The exterminators came last Thursday and exterminated my entire apartment. Up until today, Wednesday the 22nd, I haven't had one bed bug bite, nor have I seen one. Today, I just woke up due to a pinch on the left side of my waist. It was a huge bed bug, which I squished. What I'm asking is WHY? Why do I still have bed bugs when the exterminators came. They did say they were going to come a second time just in case, but really, I thought it would be done after one job. What's the probability that they will be gone after the second extermination? Is it possible for them not to leave after the second extermination? I can't just keep calling these guys for the rest of my life.
