Is there a service a solo backpacker can use to find a partner?

I am currently planning on hiking the Long Trail this upcoming August/ September, and the person I was planning on going with can no longer get the time off of work to make the trek. Are there any blogs, websites, ect. where solo hikers can find other solo hikers? I don't feel totally comfortable hiking for 3 weeks alone, but this will be my only chance for several years to do an extended trek. Any information or suggestions would be much appreciated.
