Why do most people assume the edge of the universe is the death of the universe?
I will play. In a word duality. Duality as a viewpoint of reality is a limited perspective and limits the possibility of see the Unity. The conditioned mind is a dualistic mind. Because we are Beings of Unity we limit ourselves to an either or situation and see that as the whole picture. We then proceed naturally to create more and more complexity within the limits of the dualistic focus. In our minds we divide by defining and the duality perspective stretches out infinitely like the decimal points between two whole numbers. We can do this infinitely in an infinate universe and never leave the limits of the two whole numbers at least not consciously. We are left with begininings and endings, life and death and are unable to see that endings and beginnings are the same thing as Birth is seen as a beginning we must then see death as an ending. We are stuck between these two cosmic whole numbers if you will. The space between is created by seeing the dualistic start and finish. I wonder if time itself would lose all meaning if we truly percieved the dualistic as Unified. We essential have a conditioned mind that chooses to see the division and that automatically eliminates the potential of seeing the Unified. A unified mind can naturally cope with a infinite and eternal space that is Being. A divided mind is so severely limited that contemplating the greatness of it all is too much. It finds rational limits in order to cope. It draws lines so to speak so that all seems right in the world. Fear is envoked when stepping out of the comfort zone of conditioned thinking. A divided mind projects it's own state. It has too or face the fear of ego extinction. A whole mind has no need. A whole mind is simply a reflection of what is. A divided mind must project what it thinks is in order to cope. A divided mind would naturally see the universe as beginning and ending, living and dying. These are well adopted concepts and the divided mind lives through it's definitions and concepts. The divided mind can't see past the sentence. The whole mind sees the story. It knows a story came before and a story will follow. It knows endings are really new beginnings. It know that there are no endings and only beginnings. In this realization the illusion of duality fades from view.
